In 2015, I had the privilege of building this luxury home on Duggan Street, Balwyn North, with a clear vision in mind: create a residence that feels timeless, solid and refined, while still being warm and welcoming for everyday living.

As a builder, my focus is always on structure first, then detail. This home is a good example of how I bring those two together.
From the start, I paid close attention to the way the home sits on the block. The layout was planned to maximise natural light, privacy and street presence.
Large windows and carefully placed openings bring in light throughout the day, while still giving the family a sense of seclusion from the street.
The façade combines clean, modern lines with quality materials that age well, so the home still looks fresh years after completion.
The construction itself was done with long term durability in mind. I used high grade materials and worked closely with trusted trades to make sure every stage was done properly, not just quickly.
The framing, insulation and waterproofing were all checked and re checked, because what you don’t see behind the walls is just as important as the finishes you do see.
My goal was to build a home that would feel solid underfoot and perform well in Melbourne’s changing weather.

Inside, the design focuses on open, flowing spaces that still have a clear purpose. The main living areas are generous and connected, making them ideal for family life and entertaining.

High ceilings, wide hallways and large openings between rooms create a sense of space and luxury. At the same time, I made sure there were quieter, more private areas where the owners can relax and unwind.

The finishes were chosen to match the luxury feel of the home without being over the top. Quality timber, stone and joinery give the interior a rich, tactile feel.

I worked closely with the owners to select colours and textures that would stay in style and be easy to live with.

Every detail, from the placement of lighting to the design of the cabinetry, was considered so the home feels cohesive from room to room.

To complete the luxury feel, I added a custom designed swimming pool that not only looks impressive from inside the home, but also creates a private resort style space for the owners to relax and entertain.
